Selasi Awusi Sosu studied Textiles in Achimota School and Sculpture at KNUST, Kumasi. She is interested in the medium glass and its aesthetics. Through photography/videography, sound and installation, she highlights a seemingly hidden history in Ghana, current environmental, socio-economic, geo-political and developmental issues. She  teaches courses in art at the Department of Art Education, University of Education Winneba (UEW),  where she initiated the “Exploring Visual Cultures” project between three departments in UEW and international partners.

 

Her first solo show titled “Transparencies” was at UEW in 2015. She showed at the blaxTARLINES, Kumasi shows "The gown must go to town: of art and philosophical consciencism" (2015) and at "Orderly disorderly" (2017).  She was also invited to show at “Tracing Obsolescence” (2018), "Ghana freedom" (2019), and at "Streams of consciousness: A concatenation of dividuals" (2019).
