Ibrahima Sene, is a Germanist and historian specializing in German colonial history, Afro-diasporic associations, and cultural and knowledge transfer. He received his PhD in German Studies from Université Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar and Saarland University with a dissertation on the memory of German colonialism in contemporary literature. In parallel with his doctoral studies, he completed a Master’s degree in Culture and Society of Africa (M.A.) at the University of Bayreuth (2024), specializing in History and Development Sociology. Since 2023, he has been a research associate in African History at the University of Bayreuth, where his current postdoctoral project examines the legacy and (dis-)continuity of Afro-diasporic knowledge in contemporary associations.
