The paintings celebrate the strength and empowerment of women by depicting them engaged in occupations that have historically been performed by men. The aim of the paintings is to challenge societal norms and break down gender stereotypes thus, inspiring a world where all individuals are free to pursue their passions without limits.

Zephaniah Lukamba endeavours to express himself through his artworks using oil paints on canvas. His compositional tendencies have a quality to evoke a sense of deja vous in its viewers. He expresses an unspoken dialogue with colour, resulting in recognisable moods. While all these moods contrast drastically, they all share similar paradoxes and most importantly a sense of quiet of the night despite the chaos. In the last seven years, Lukamba has been privileged to exhibit at the National Museum of Kenya since 2016, The Kenya Art Fair (2017), Mtaani Exhibition (2017 & 2018, 2022), Manjano Exhibition (2020), ZPAP Kierat Gallery & Sztuki Schowek gallery in Poland (2021-2022), One-Off Gallery (2020 - 2023), Almasi Art gallery (2023), Circle Art gallery (2023) among others. He envisions a future of continuous exploration, delving further into the expressive power of his chosen medium. Themes of birds, overloaded cars and matatus will remain at the core of his artistic practice, allowing him to convey narratives that resonate with viewers on a profound level.
