On the one hand, it is important to inform students about the background and cultural significance of the dolls in this topic. After that, however, it makes sense to approach the subject with them in a practical way. They could try out the procedures themselves, but also think about their own identity, everyday scenes and objects of use that are personally meaningful to them. Possible food for thought might be: What characterizes a woman for me? What is the significance of the doll in my culture? What are the differences between our everyday life and the everyday life of the artists in the Vale do Jequitinhonha?
