Brazilian urban artistic manifestation that shares similarities with world-renowned graffiti. But arriving in Brazil it finds a unique aesthetic and symbolic unfolding that has political-social and identity affirmation layers especially of marginalized people. The birthplace of Pixo is the city of São Paulo which carries millions of works throughout the city. As a way to affirm belonging and identity in the city that invisibilizes so much the aesthetics prioritizes the writing of names and codenames in public places and often very high and inaccessible (the more difficult and risky, the more imposing is the work). Even today, Pixo is banned in Brazil as vandalism and an environmental crime. All over the world, especially in the arts, it is recognised as one of the exponents of contemporary art. "The pixador's biennial is the street".
