Louise SOMBGA, Flood, 2022, Collage of fabrics on canvas, 80 x 60 cm

Louise's work focuses on psychological violence, which she does not hesitate to make known as a victim. She depicts characters with exploded heads to convey this violence. Louise offers moments of painful, shocking experiences from everyday life. Her compositions, harmoniously constructed from fabric glued to canvas, mostly depict characters with an air of profound confusion, perplexity and desolation, particularly echoing the unfortunate situation of women in the world in general, and in Cameroon in particular.
