According to Lydie Danielle, "the therapeutic dimension of art really comes into its own and plays its part when there is an awareness of the power of art on the part of the artist and the viewer". Thus, through the stylised representation of empty human silhouettes using mixed media, the artist seeks to express her profound desire for self-healing, alluding to the experience of most women in their respective fields within society.
